We exist to help you build and implement that technology inside your enterprise.

Thanks to cloud computing, we are deploying open, mobile and social applications, faster and more effectively than ever before.

We work with amazing technology partners and we love what we do.

Why? The clue is in our name.

Welcome to our Social Enterprise.

Now meet the team…

CEO & Founder – Mark Richards

As Chief Evangelist, Mark cares passionately about creating enterprises that redefine what “work” means. With the goal of releasing everyone from tedious admin and letting all loose to create their own art in the workplace, he’s glad to have found a technology partner in salesforce who share the same vision. The only question is: are you going to join him on this journey? When he’s not doing this, he’s probably entering into a battle of wills with his two year old son – Nathaniel.

Managing Director – Matt Cooksley

Having spent 15 years advising businesses of all sizes across many industries to grow and become successful, Matt is now doing it from the inside, combining his background in consulting, finance, entrepreneurship and strategy to take Make Positive forward to the next level.

Head of Services – Steve Hamilton

Being an Australian in England, Steve is extremely passionate about BBQ’ing in this glorious English weather and any sports where Australia dominate. Primarily cricket, rugby, hockey and cycling – although he admits that the Aussies don’t seem to be doing too well at the moment… Steve is very much an advocate of the agile way of working for cloud based implementations.

Head of Human Resources – Claire Jaques

As Head of HR, Claire is responsible for looking after Make Positive’s most important asset – our People. Claire is passionate about driving forward an HR Strategy that not only achieves organisational goals but also ensures that our talent is developed, managed and rewarded properly. Out of hours, Claire is kept on her toes by her two young children. She’s recently been introduced to the world of sprint triathlons, and she is also a keen baker – her brownies and carrot cake have been a big hit in the office.

India Practice Lead – Manu Dewan

With a background of a number of years of working across the globe in various capacities on the Force.com platform, Manu is now setting up the development centre for Make Positive in Gurgaon, India, where he’s busy putting together a team of some of the finest cloud consultants and developers in the region.
Manu’s an extra-friendly chap with an infectious smile who believes in living for the moment and spreading happiness while he’s at it. He also likes to think of himself as a Cloud Computing Evangelist with a strong belief in the Social Enterprise being the very near future of successful companies worldwide.
When work is over, he spends his day and weekends with his 8 and 6 year old boys who are as passionate about movies and outings as him.

Manchester Practice Lead – Zoe Sadler

Zoe is motivated by delivering really successful projects for our northern clients and ensuring that all of the guys in our Manchester office are happy in their work. After hours she enjoys getting out into the outdoors and her main claim to fame is that she was once almost scooped up by a dredger whilst windsurfing (badly) off the coast of Staines.

Sales Executive (SFDC North) – Dave Hands

Dave looks after all things in the Midlands and the North. He firmly believes that our customers and our business partners always come first – we are nothing without either of these. So he does everything he can to make sure everyone is happy, and positive!

When he’s not working, two young children pretty much consume whatever time Dave has spare, but even then he manages to fit in plenty of music, a few films, and the occasional fiery curry and good bottle of vino…

Sales Executive – Mona Dash

Mona joined the Make Positive sales team with a long background in Telecoms sales – OSS/BSS/Revenue Management/Outsourcing and other such fun stuff! She enjoys the challenges of new business sales and the effort to keep current customers happy. Apart from work, her life is ruled by her 5 year old son and fiction writing.

Chief Happiness Office and Recruiter – Marie-Aurélie Roberti

Marie likes art, Belgian chocolate, meeting new people, dancing, travelling, going to the park with her daughter and eating raspberries right from the bush…  She dislikes snakes and when the Barca loses a game ;-)

Kelly Emsden

Financial Controller – Kelly Emsden

Kelly joined Make Positive just over 5 years ago as the “Finance Department”, she looks after everything from client invoicing to staff salaries. She’s motivated, honest and passionate in her role, supporting work colleagues at all times.  In her spare time Kelly enjoys going to gigs and is currently studying reflexology.

Aaron Dominguez

Developer – Aaron Dominguez

Aaron loves learning new stuff and for him the most amazing thing about working at Make Positive is that he can absorb cutting-edge IT knowledge and new ideas from his workmates.

He’s always keen to innovate to achieve his goals however fully believes that “you can’t rush perfection”.

Developer – Alessio Valentini

Alessio swims in the early morning, develops during the day and enjoys London’s open-mindedness and people in the evening and during the weekend. He enjoys facing new challenges and experiences and would describe himself as passionate, visionary, focussed, open-minded, confident, zen, honest and funny…

Ali is strongly focussed on learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Having successfully developed and implemented multiple Salesforce solutions he’s a Certified Salesforce.com Service Cloud Consultant/Administrator and Dell Boomi AtomSphere Certified Process Developer. He loves living in London, partying, having fun and playing cricket on the weekends with friends.

Dinesh Acharya

Developer – Dinesh Acharya

Dinesh is known for solving Rubik’s cube in 2 minutes 8 seconds at Make Positive and is one of our best cricket players; he is also known as chucker:). He has a can-do attitude, is self-motivated, confident, enthusiastic and has very good communication skills, which is a must at Make Positive. He’s always smiling and his mood reverberates around the Make Positive office! Dinesh loves travelling and is also passionate about cooking, creating many new recipes in his free time.

Edith Sereno

Business Analyst – Edith Sereno

Edith is rather outgoing and her motto is “make the most of life while you can”. She enjoys being outdoors and active and loves entertaining but is quite notorious amongst her friends for being terrible at baking! Edith is also a qualified scuba diving instructor but doesn’t dive much in the UK as she’s a bit of a hot water lover.

Fergus is a Salesforce.com developer. He’s big into music, gigs, movies, sport, and working in the cloud.

James Tildesley

James is a keen motorsports fan and enjoys both playing and watching a number of sports, including rugby, tennis and cricket. He also enjoys travelling.

Florian Hoehn

Developer – Florian Hoehn

Florian is passionate about the social enterprise and the technology required to implement it successfully. As the driving force behind the Social Enterprise Framework, he is striving to constantly improve the architecture that underpins our social enterprise offering. When he is not architecting or developing, you are likely to find him on the football pitch, dictating games from midfield.

Make Positive raises $1m in Series A funding round

May 14, 2012

Cloud technology firm Make Positive has closed a $1m investment round, it announced today.
The investment will be used to fund international expansion and R&D.

London-based Make Positive provides consulting services and builds apps for enterprises. Over the past 10 years, Make Positive has worked with 10 of the FTSE100 companies, helping them to develop and implement their next generation cloud-based strategies and to build mobile content platforms and apps. Make Positive is regarded as one of the most innovative companies in its sector, solving complex IT architectural problems for its clients and developing cutting-edge products, predominantly around social enterprise, customer relationship management, collaboration, mobile apps and billing.

CEO Mark Richards, who founded the company in 2002, comments: “Three years ago we decided to transition the business away from traditional IT solutions to focus on cloud technologies. This decision is paying off, with our cloud services division expected to double this year for the third year in a row.”

Matt Cooksley, Managing Director, comments “Demand for cloud-based IT solutions is growing extremely fast and we are growing accordingly.
“We are on track to more than double the size of our business in the first half of this year. The majority of our work is based on the salesforce.com platform, and we now have over 30 consultants and developers working in this area. Make Positive is currently ranked as the 12th most popular salesforce.com consulting partner out of 182 in Western Europe.”

Earlier this year Make Positive opened an office in Manchester, to serve clients in the Midlands and the North, and this month has opened its Centre of Excellence in Gurgaon, India.

Mark Richards added: “We are building a fantastic team of consultants and developers, and we work with amazing technology partners and visionary clients. With a number of new products coming to market in the next few months, this year is set to be a ground-breaking one, in what is our 10th year in business.”
